In July of 2017 Surfing The Nations ran its fourth  annual Surf camp in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It was a raging success. The people of this land are special. As one of our surf camp attendees put it: "Surfing brings peace." As you scroll through these photo's, I challenge you to ask yourself a simple Question:

"Jesus, how do YOU feel about this land and its people?" 

After 4 times in this country now personally, that question continues to be an endless discovery of beauty and joy. Here is the truth my friends: Jesus loves North Korea. He is inviting us to do the same. 

Pyongyang has lot's and lot's of wild monuments.

Pyongyang is home to one of the worlds biggest waterparks. It has a small man mad wave pool. We get to share surfing with literally hundreds of locals each year.

On the second to last day we saw a tiny little bump in the surf. 

On our very last full day on the coast, we got a big, stormy swell. Wavestorms in closeout beach breaks in DPRK... sure, why not?

Honestly though... breaking one of only 10 or so surfboards in a whole country is not ideal. 

While in the country, I basically just dance all day, every day.
